Spiral CT of the Abdomen

At Pusan National University Hospital during about 1 year, 75 cases undertook spiral CT scan of the abdomen. The purpose of this study was (1) to evaluate whether the patient can substain a 24-s breath-hold, and (2) to know of the proportion of
targeted
regions or organs that were completely imaged at different table speeds. 70 of 72 patients could sustain a 24-s breath-hold without any motion. Region coverage depended on the prescribed table feed speed and time of exposure.
